Russia: Putin offers condolences to French business leaders over Notre Dame

Notre Dame/Ruptly Ajoutée le 18 avr. 2019 Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed deep condolences to representatives of French business leaders over the Notre Dame Cathedral fire, in Moscow on Thursday. “Of course, this is not only a cathedral, not only a symbol of France, it is also a symbol of a common European civilization, European culture. We all regret, we all looked at it with tears in our eyes,” he said. The Russian leader also said he is confident that French President Emmanuel Macron’s plans to quickly rebuild the famous church will be realised.
